Our Apartment Maintenance Technicians play a key role in each community’s success. Qualified candidates will collaborate with team members to assess and respond to maintenance issues, develop a rapport with residents by being knowledgeable and friendly, and inspire trust by caring for the community. Salary will commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities of the Apartment Maintenance Tech include:
• Prepares or assists in preparing all vacant apartments to a market ready condition.
• Performs various community maintenance functions (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting, appliance repairs, etc.)
• Responds to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner.
• Performs on-call emergency service as required.
• May assist in monitoring and/or controlling maintenance inventory and/or supplies.
• Ability to lift up-to 100 pounds.
• Assists in keeping the grounds and common areas free of trash, debris
• Maintains open communication with property management.
• Consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude and appearance when dealing with residents, coworkers and the public, at all times, on or off the property.
• Requires inside and outside work in all types of weather.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Trade school training a plus.
• One to three years of verifiable hands-on general maintenance experience (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting, etc.) is preferred with proficiency in at least one major area
• Ability to perform medium to heavy work requiring prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, crouching and lifting to a maximum of 100 lbs., with frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
