General Laborer (Construction) – Part-Time / On-Call (Bench Position)

Position Overview
T. Harris Builders is seeking reliable General Laborers to join our team on a part-time, on-call (bench) basis. This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work opportunities in residential construction.
Work hours will vary based on project needs. Some weeks may offer full-time hours (up to 40+), while other weeks may have limited or no hours.
Full-time opportunities may be available after a 90-day performance review for dependable and consistent workers.
Responsibilities
Assist with general construction tasks on residential job sites
Load and unload materials and tools
Maintain clean and safe work areas
Support skilled trades (framing, drywall, tile, etc.)
Perform demolition, prep work, and basic installations
Follow directions from supervisors and crew leads
Requirements
Previous construction or general labor experience preferred (not required)
Must be dependable and show up ready to work
Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)
Must have reliable transportation
Basic tools are a plus, but not required
Willingness to learn and take direction
Schedule
Part-time / On-call (Bench Position)
Hours vary based on project demand
May work up to 40 hours in a week or have weeks off
Compensation
Pay based on experience and skill level
Paid through professional payroll system (direct deposit)
