Phoenix Testing & Inspection LLC is seeking a Materials Laboratory Assistant to support our geotechnical and construction materials testing laboratory. This is a hands-on position working with soils, concrete, and asphalt testing in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to work—not someone looking to be micromanaged.
Responsibilities:
Assist with laboratory testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt materials
Sample preparation, labeling, and organization
Maintain clean and organized lab workspace
Support lab technicians and supervisor with daily workload
Data entry and basic documentation of test results
Handle materials and equipment safely and efficiently
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license (required)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
Strong attention to detail and organization
Reliable attendance and punctuality (non-negotiable)
Basic computer skills
Construction/materials testing experience is a plus, but not required
Preferred (but not required):
ACI Certification
ATTI Certification
Previous lab or field testing experience
Position Details:
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Monday–Friday schedule (consistent hours)
90-day trial period
Pay: Based on experience
