Foreman oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a moving crew, ensuring efficient, safe, and professional moving services. You'll lead the team, communicate with clients, and maintain company standards.
Breakdown of the responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision:
The foreman provides guidance and direction to the moving team, ensuring they understand their tasks and work efficiently.
Safety:
The foreman is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, adhering to safety regulations, and addressing any safety concerns.
Client Interaction and Communication:
The foreman interacts with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns professionally and providing excellent customer service.
Paperwork and Documentation:
They manage moving paperwork, obtain client signatures, and ensure accurate documentation. All paperwork is managed in our moving software. This is where you'll start and stop the time. Collect payment and get the signatures for our company contract.
Communication:
The foreman communicates effectively with dispatch, management, and the crew, ensuring smooth coordination of the moving process.
Moving Operations:
The foreman oversees the safe and efficient loading and unloading of furniture and other items. We must pad wrap all furniture.
Packing and Unpacking:
They may be involved in packing and unpacking items, ensuring they are handled with care and properly protected.
Equipment Management:
The foreman ensures proper use and maintenance of moving equipment and trucks.
Problem Solving:
They address any issues or conflicts that arise during the move promptly and effectively.
Representation:
The foreman represents the company well during moves, maintaining a professional demeanor and handling difficult situations effectively.
Basic Carpentry:
We offer disassembly and reassembly services for basic furniture.
DOT Rules:
They understand and apply DOT regulations related to moving trucks and safety.
Computer Skills:
Using moving software.
