WATER METER READER: Great source for good, steady, additional monthly income with a flexible work schedule working as an independent contractor. A national utility billing company with an office in Scottsdale, AZ is looking for a part-time meter reader for residential utility meters who will read meters each month on routes tailored to the reader's home address and monthly billing cycles. The reader would work from home. The meters to be read are generally in the areas of Tempe, Mesa and Apache Junction, with a few near the 101 and the 51. These readings will take approximately 46 hours per month, including drive time, depending upon where you live. Reader will be paid for meter reading time, drive time and mileage, which together will calculate to about $26 per hour. Additional income possible for someone capable of performing meter repairs, which involves light plumbing. Must be reliable, punctual, have an active driver's license, have auto insurance, own a reliable vehicle, be responsive to communications from staff, and be able to pass a criminal background check. Must be detail oriented, and capable of reading routes every month within an agreed upon time frame.
