Personally owned it for 6 years and tried to take care of it like it was brand new. I am the second owner. I personally took the liberty to go through the bike and upgrade important parts be it old or not top of the line.
Brand new parts I can think of
New clutch (the whole clutch internals)
New clutch cable
New upgraded front and rear steel braided brakes lines with high performance brake pads
New performance clutch and brake levers
New chain and sprocket
Rebuilt forks seals
New intake temp sensor (these go bad sometimes so why wait)
New upgrade to Lithium battery (runs forever with forever warranty)
Two brother exhaust
New fluids and oil filter
I'm sure there is more I have not mentioned.
33k in highway and freeway miles, Used to go back and forth from here to flagstaff on freeways for work purposes, never abused, all freeway miles.
Bike has been babied and kept indoors most its life. If not indoors in a garage in the winter. I ran it around the block every week for engine health.
