Production Planner / Scheduler — Precision Machining & Sheet Metal Shop Qualitas Machining & Automation Gilbert, AZ | In Office | Immediate Hire
Qualitas Machining & Automation is hiring a Production Planner/Scheduler for our Gilbert shop. We're an AS9100D-certified, ITAR-registered precision metal parts manufacturer serving aerospace, electronics, medical, and optics.
If you can turn a stack of jobs, a list of machines, and a calendar into a plan that actually works, we want to talk.
What you'll do
• Schedule and release work orders across machining, fabrication, finishing, and assembly
• Build and maintain the production schedule to hit promised ship dates
• Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust priorities in real time
• Kit jobs and confirm material and components are staged before release
• Coordinate daily with shop floor leads, purchasing, and customer service
• Coordinate with our Tucson shop on shared jobs and transfers
• Maintain accurate routings, work centers, and lead times in the ERP
• Run capacity analysis and flag overloads before they become problems
What we're looking for
• Production planning or scheduling experience in a machine shop, sheet metal shop, or similar discrete manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems — Made2Manage a strong plus
• Strong Excel, including lookups and pivot tables
• Organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and punctual
• Smart problem-solver who works to root cause
• Clear communicator who can hold the line with the floor and with sales
• Comfortable juggling priorities in a fast-paced environment
