What We Need
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining engineering documentation, creating CAD models and drawings, and defining manufacturing workflows. You will play a key role in ensuring that products meet aerospace quality standards while optimizing manufacturability, cost, and efficiency. This position will require frequent collaboration with design, quality, suppliers, and production teams.
Qualifications
What You'll Do
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and travelers.
• Write detailed workflow documents and work instructions to guide manufacturing processes.
• Call out materials, finishes, and outside/special processes, including heat treating, EDM, plating, and coatings.
• Support aerospace inspection requirements, including FAIRs (AS9102) and APQP documentation.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer specifications.
• Work with machinists, quality inspectors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Provide shop floor support for CNC machining, EDM, precision assembly, and special processes.
• Identify and implement opportunities for workflow efficiency
Who We Are Looking For
• Experience assessing and qualifying materials, specifications, regulations, and process requirements for projects assigned.
• Experience with project planning and writing job instructions, MOT’s.
• Familiarity with aerospace inspection standards, FAIRs (AS9102), and APQP.
• Experience in test instrumentation; Temperature, pressure, strain gage sensors and installation methods.
• Experience in machine shop and manufacturing methods and techniques, Lathes, Mills, Welding.
• Mechanical assembly experience.
• A self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
• The ability to interface with Machinists and Instrumentation Technicians.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field or relevant experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Experience with blueprint reading and understanding aerospace models and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in collaborating with customer engineering professionals.
• Excellent computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• An understanding of turbine engine operation and construction and manufacturing techniques is preferred.
