I have fully restored this Normandy grenadilla clarinet, and am offering it basically for cost.
The grenadilla Normandy line of clarinets were manufactured in France, and were their “step up” student instruments.
They are extremely well made, and of high quality.
The restoration includes:
1. Complete disassembly and inspection of keys and springs, ensuring full working condition.
2. Cleaning and polishing/buffing all keys and body.
3. Replacing all tenon and key corks and pads…using shellac to repad the instrument.
4. All pads are seated and adjusted for optimal functioning
5. The instrument is regulated and play tested.
There are no cracks present.
While not shown in the pictures, I will provide a mouthpiece upon request.
In my opinion, as a clarinetist, these Normandys are a fantastic value, and superior to many currently produced clarinets in the sub-$1000 range.
