This ring was crafted in India for a Vedic astrology (Jyotish) prescription for the effects of Shani (Saturn). It is solid gold. The yellow sapphire is genuine. I retain a document report from a government gem lab in Mumbai that rates the quality of the sapphire as very high. (The black you see in the closeup is not in the stone itself; you are seeing the shadow through the completely clear stone.)
