The 2007 Godin xtSA is a highly versatile, Canadian-made hybrid guitar featuring three distinct voices: electric pickups, an L.R. Baggs acoustic piezo system, and a 13-pin synth output. Built with a silver leaf maple/poplar body, mahogany neck, and ebony fretboard, it is celebrated for its top-tier synth tracking. [1, 2, 3, 4]The xtSA is a "jack-of-all-trades" designed to bridge the gap between electric, acoustic, and MIDI performance. Core features include: [1, 2, 3]
Three Voices: Standard electric humbucker-single-humbucker (HSH) pickup configuration, authentic acoustic piezo tones via the onboard preamp, and direct access to Roland GR-Series synths and other 13-pin devices. [1]
Tonewoods & Feel: Solid mahogany neck utilizing Godin's "Ergocut" technique for a played-in feel. The body is made of silver leaf maple sides with a yellow poplar center. [1]
Synth Access: Widely considered to have some of the best built-in synth tracking in the business. [1, 2]
Control Layout: Features independent volume and 3-band EQ for the acoustic piezo, magnetic pickup volume and tone, and synth volume along with program up/down switches.
This guitar is in perfect working order with all electronics functioning as designed. With one exception, I have no way to check the synth pickup/output jack because I do not own a snyth to check it with. That said I can't imagine with as little play as this guitar has had that it is not also in working order.
There are a couple of small nicks on the top of the headstock and a small scratch just below the high E string tuning machine. Neither effect playability and both are quite small and hard to see.
The guitar has zero fret-ware and it comes with the whammy bar and the original gig bag. The gig bag has a torn netting pocket. All else is perfect. All zippers work well.
