Let me start by saying, this is NOT my choice. Maia is an amazing dog and I love her so very much. She is amazing with my grandkids, good my other animals of all kinds. If you know the breed, you know that they can be high strung and have anxiety. She is the perfect example of that. She has had a rough past. She was rescued from an abusive situation then her rescue Mama passed away in her sleep with Maia next to her. Then she was passed around and bullied for a couple weeks until I got her finally around 10 months old. She has a hard time understanding that she is actually wanted and staying somewhere with someone. She has never bit anyone but she has nipped at my pig once or twice. Not to hurt him but to let him know she didn't want him in her space at that time. My family wants her gone because she does have an aggressive bark and will get in another dogs face when she gets anxious. The kids can climb on her, she loves to lay with them. She is extremely attached to me as I am to her. She is not spayed only because it could make her anxiety worse. Only the very best home will be considered for her. I will be very picky. She is a couch dog and a bed dog. Don't even respond if you don't want that. She is not the dog that you would take to the dog park either, her bark scares people.
