Meade 2080 Quartz LX 8” Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope with Equatorial Fork Mount.
Meade 2080 8” mounted on its original heavy-duty fork mount with adjustable equatorial wedge and tripod, also a second tabletop mount that I am working on testing. American-made telescope ideal for observing the Moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae, and many deep-sky objects.
The telescope includes the original Quartz LX drive system, equatorial wedge for polar alignment, fork mount, and tripod. The optics are decent and produce sharp views. This is an excellent instrument for both visual observing and anyone looking for a classic Meade SCT.
A great telescope for beginners wanting a serious instrument or experienced astronomers who appreciate these well-built vintage Meade scopes.
