I have a BMW S62 I am looking to sell. I bought it to swap into a Z3, but ended up swapping an N62 instead.
The S62 has been taking up space for a couple years now and at this point in time I think it's time to let it go as I am not planning an S62 swap at this time. Every few months I remove the protective covering and squirt some oil down the cylinders and rotate it over a few times to keep it fresh.

Bores are in excellent condition, as is the block mating surface and heads. Rotating assembly (crank and pistons) are installed in the block. Everything else is disassembled, spread out among a few plastic tubs and boxes.

I bought the engine disassembled from someone who was planning on turbocharging the engine. They decided to LS swap instead - I think they realized how expensive the S62 would actually cost to turbocharge it... easily $15k+... and an LS swap suddenly looked a lot more appealing.

I also have available separately a complete VAC S62 dry sump system: pan, pump, tank, lines, etc - for $4000. Costs over $4,500 from VAC without the lines/tank. Peterson tank itself is over $600. In total the cost is approximately $5500 for the complete dry sump system.

Also available separately is a 420G 6 speed manual transmission for E39 M5 application

Asking $4500 for the S62
VAC dry sump kit $4000
420G transmission - $1800

Open to reasonable offers, but no lowballs. I would be willing to make a decent deal for the whole lot bought together.

May entertain trades or partial trades + cash, for BMW related stuff, rare/valuable wheels, or any sort of interesting outdoor toys. Never hurts to ask!
