Hi, so like the title says I am considering taking a roommate on for short term in my one bedroom apartment. It's located in Mesa on Broadway and Dobson about a half a mile from the 101, about 2 miles from the 202 and the 60 so it's actually in a really good spot. There are a few places within walking distance as well. Apartment is close to 700 square-foot and is fully furnished and actually pretty nice. It also has a washer and dryer in the apartment. When it comes to a roommate I would prefer a woman but with that said you and your privacy will 100% be respected as I'm just looking to help off set some costs. Which as far as rent would go we can discuss in person what's a fair number depending on if you would like to have the bedroom which I have an almost brand new bed that's only about a year-old or an air mattress in the living area. I'm flexible with what you would like, as far as rent I'm not looking to charge you any of the utilities or bills I will handle those so really it would just be a portion of the rent. Which isn't going to be that high considering it's a one bedroom I'm not looking to stick it to anyone especially someone who's just looking to save to get their own place. Short term rental to me is meaning that I'm not looking for anything more than six months at the most as I'm sure I'll be back on my feet by then but it can be a short as whatever your needs are whether that's two weeks or two months I am fine with whichever. I actually work in construction and also have my own business it's just unfortunately they've come to a complete crawl so I've been living off savings which is what has me thinking about taking a roommate. Would probably be best if you were single as I am just to avoid any drama however that's not a requirement or anything like that. I just thought it might be easier, anyway you will have full access to the apartment while you're here and like I said I have 100% respect your privacy. The apartment actually has a back balcony which has a door off the bedroom which faces the parking lot and also a slider to another balcony in the living room. I actually have a stepstool on the balcony that faces the parking lot as sometimes I will go over the railing to get to the car. You could almost consider it another entrance. The apartment has really good storage so you will have your own closet for your clothes and anything else you'd like to store. As I mentioned the apartment is already fully furnished so no furniture is really necessary however if you have some that you don't want to get rid of that you're saving for your next place I'm sure we can find a place to store it where it doesn't get ruined or anything. I do have two kittens which are about nine months old, however I'm very OCD when it comes to cleaning so I'm constantly taking care of the litter box and the cat hair. I take pride in the fact that no one can tell I have cats when they first walk in . I wouldn't ask you to worry about feeding them or taking care of the litter box or any of that unless you choose to but otherwise they will be my responsibility. Its probably a good idea to not bring any more pets along however they have been around small dogs a few times and have had no issues but another cat might not be a good idea being thatúuuuu most cats don't necessarily get along with each other. If you do have a small dog as long as he or she is well trained I don't necessarily have any issues with that. I don't have Wi-Fi by the way but if that's something you really need I can create a hotspot with my phone. I don't expect you to worry about any deep cleaning or dusting I mean you're welcome to if you want I just asked that you pick up after yourself which is obvious otherwise I'll take care of any other dusting or cleaning. Otherwise the rest of the details and things can be worked out in person as I would like to meet in public first as I'm sure you would too. We can decide what's a fair amount of rent and any details or issues that you have concerns about we can work out together. I would like to have something in writing For both of us even though it would be short term. Like I said six months max but with no minimum amount of time and you wouldn't need to give me any kind of notice really when you're ready to leave. I do smoke but only on the balconies never really inside, don't really smoke pot anymore but I don't care if you do and honestly it doesn't matter to me if you do any other drugs just as long as your rent is on time and you are responsible. I mean I'm not opposed to becoming friends during the time but at the same time if you're just looking for a place to sleep and do what you need to do I would absolutely have no problem just leaving you to it you don't need to worry about entertaining or talking with me or even eating together unless we want to. Even though it's a one bedroom I'm going to give you as much space and respect as I can. As for myself I'm in my early 40s, as I mentioned I work in construction, I am divorced and I do share a young son with her however I won't be having him here or anyone for that matter while you're staying here . I would appreciate if you didn't have any guests or friends or anybody over during that time as well would like to just keep it simple. Your relationship status doesn't matter to me as I said although it might be easier if you were single but that's not a requirement like I said I will make sure you will have as much privacy and respect as I can give you. I'm just hoping to find someone that I can trust, get along with somewhat and understand the situation where I just need a little help to offset rent while I'm kind of stuck living off my savings while giving you a place to stay that would be relatively cheap but safe and comfortable for a short time.
