Position requires knowledge of relevant development environments and protocols and ensures adherence to technical standards.
Position is for 30 hours/week during school hours - Monday - Friday, 1st shift
Incumbent’s responsibility includes gathering user requirements, testing system functionality and writing code in various languages such C, Python, LabVIEW and Java. Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) with and understanding of System and Software verification.
Ultimately, the role of the Software Engineer Internship is to support the software verification activities.
Key Responsibilities (define scope of responsibility):
In this role the incumbent’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
*Develop Test Cases from system and software requirements.
*Develop Test Procedures/Test Scripts from test cases to verify the software requirements.
*Execute Test Scripts
*Interpret test logs to determine pass fail criteria based on system and software requirements.
*Maintain and update the test suites based on requirement changes.
*Analyze failure to determine root cause.
*Create reviews for test artifacts
*Participate in reviews to correct issues.
*Update test matrix to ensure requirements are covered.
*Other duties as assigned
Desired Background and Experience (include education and experience required):
*Actively pursuing a degree in a relevant filed (CS, Aerospace, Engineering)
*Relevant course work in software design/ software testing
*Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team.
*Organizational and analytical skills a must.
