WINDOWS 2008-2012 SERVER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

MTI is seeking a dependable and earnest Server 2008-2012 Support Technician to join our team. Ideal candidate will possess an extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and an intermediate understanding of system hardware. Position will have a large focus on supporting end user issues in person, by phone, or remotely providing assistance including printing, installation, email, network connectivity and operating systems. The candidate must possess critical thinking skills and be able to work with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a server environment with multiple users and should be comfortable working onsite, at our Chandler office or when scheduling permits, working from home.

PLEASE NOTE:

This position is not just an administration position. Candidate must have break/fix experience for the knowledge requirement categories.
This position will also require the ability to act upon technical emergency requests during non-standard business hours.
Potential candidates should note that this is a dynamic position and does not always operate on a 9-to-5 schedule. While some days you will have scheduled tasks during normal business hours, sometimes, this is not always feasible. (If you're already in I.T., you'll already know this.)
The candidate must be adaptable and able to swiftly address a customer's issue as it arises. Job functions WILL include evening or weekend jobs. MTI also offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to work a flexible schedule.

REQUIREMENTS


• Minimum of 4 years' experience in an IT support position and a minimum of 1.5 years' experience in any type of customer service position
• Valid AZ DL REQUIRED
• Firewall (hardware) configuration (configure, security, ports)
• Network installation and configuration (terminal servers, static IP addresses)
• Build and Repair of PCs (hardware, drivers, etc.) including laptops
• PC network setup
• Virus and spyware removal
• Break/fix and hands-on production experience with Server 2008 and 2012
• A+ Cert or equivalent preferred



Candidate will be provided use of a company car and cell phone to execute job functions.
