This a collection of 65 different genuine Hopi kachinas and one Zuni kachina carving. Most are action figures and many are rarely carved. The collection started circa 1990 with most of the carvings being from that decade. Most were bought directly from the carvers in the Hopi villages. Also included are actual costume items used in kachina dances, including kopatsokis (tabletas) that were used in a Butterfly dance. A library of kachina books are also included.
