John Rosmini 1906 - 1996 Born in Sicily Titled: 'Mr. Bojangles' 1984 Oil on Canvas Height: 49 inches Width: 35 inches (Unframed) Style: Cubism

Biography - John Rosmini was seven when his family moved from Sicily to New York. There he pursued a career as a fashion illustrator. John was fortunate to make a living at doing what he loved. The majority of his career was spent as an illustrator and art director working for Warner Bros. Studios. As an Art Director, John received many accolades and awards. He did stray away from the art world for during two brief stints though, one as a Prizefighter and the other as Vaudeville song and dance man. John Rosmini definitely had a penchant for variety and adventure, calling him a Renaissance Man is no understatement. John was a man who could wear many hats and wear them well, but painting is what drove him to create. He was constantly experimenting with any and all methods of his favorite medium. John was considered a master by many of his peers. Rosmini was friends with Picasso and Dali. He studied with Pablo Picasso. Picasso's influence and the art movements of the 20th century are visible in the explorative styles that John used in many of his works as shown with 'Mr. Bojangles' and other paintings that I have provided with images. Art is made to be admired, thought about and enjoyed, especially works of art by an artist like John Rosmini. Several of his paintings are permanently displayed at MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York City. Most of his original paintings remain in the Rosmini family's heirloom collection. Rosmini lived out his life in the quiet mountainside of Tryon, North Carolina doing what he loved best - painting. He died in Tyron in 1996 at 90 years old. His photo and complete biography to be included with painting. $950.00
