This is a Chelsea M2 Message Center Clock in an oak traveling case, with strap and winding key. The clock is in a hinged phenolic case which is in good condition. $425,00, cash only.
The oak case(box?) looks great, It may have been refinished. The approximate dimensions of the wood are 9 1/2" wide, 5 1/2" deep, 10 1/2" tall. The hinge and snaps are in good condition as is the strap. The last photo shows some tiny gaps which do not detract to the appearance in person.
The box has a stamped serial number(792393)which is also scratched on the back of the case, see photos. II did not remove the movement from the case to see its serial number. There is a note from the previous owner(see photo) indicating 12 EI and 792393 but I do not know if this info is from the backplate of the movement.
The clock was fully run down when I acquired it. It started right up after a couple of clicks. I wound it 23 half-turns and set the time. It ran over 13 days before stopping, gaining 7 1/2 minutes during that period without me doing nay regulation. I doubt the clock has been serviced in recent history, so it might be a good idea to do so.
Nice dial, approx. 5 1/2" diameter, the bezel is approximately 6" diameter..
