Vintage Handmade Quilted Little Girl's Robe
This was handmade by my daughter's Godmother back in the late 1980s. It is a multi-color floral design quilted robe that zips in front with the waist tie attached in the back and a little pocket in front. It has pink and white lace around the neckline and the same lace is combined with a white cotton? type lace trim around the sleeves and the bottom. It is lined with a smooth fabric, so the quilting is not scratchy against the skin. Because it was handmade, there isn't a size listed, but I believe she made it when my daughter was about 3 or 4 years old. I held it against a size 4 dress and the shoulders are about the same. It measures about 28 inches around the middle, the length is about 28-29 inches and the sleeves are about 8-9 inches from the armpit to the bottom of the sleeve. My daughter wore it a lot, so it is not like new, but still has a lot of good use left to it. It has been in a box in the closet for decades.
