This is a 1909 book, The Flowers and Gardens of Madeira - Painted by Ella Du Cane - Described by Florence Du Cane. It is a first edition, and it's filled with absolutely beautiful pictures, color plates that are protected with those tissue-pages you sometimes see in old books. As you can certainly already tell, I am not a book collector and I do not possess the vocabulary to properly describe every element of this book. So, I am going to have to just let you refer to my photos. I can tell you that the covers are kind of bowed outward, there's a name plate inside from the original owner, and there's a price scrawled in pencil inside the cover from a long time ago. I can also tell you that the pages are all clean and nice, and the pictures are gorgeous. Beyond that you'll have to look over my photos and let me know if you have any questions because I just don't know how to describe certain issues. Asking $28.00 obo.
