Cal 25's have sailed around the world. This one has not. The 25 is an earlier product of the design genius of Bill Lapworth, designer of the famous Cal 40. I've had my Cal in the Sea of Cortez, Lake Pleasant, and San Diego, but recently unfortunately mostly in the driveway on it's double axle trailer. I've rigged the craft for single handed sailing. The standing rigging is almost new. There are 2 anchor setups, a real nice bimini for the 7 foot long cockpit, cushions for same, fenders, hundreds of dollars of miscellaneous stainless steel and bronze screws, bolts, snap shackles etc and a variety of fairleads for running gear. A wide variety of sails, including a spinnaker with it's attendant poles and gear. A lovely varnished mahogany interior with NO false interior liner hiding things. It has an amazing old Honda 10 hp, a marine band radio, a head, a galley sink and hand pump from the 14 gallon water tank located beneath the v birth, a depth sounder, pv panels for minimal energy usage including LED running and interior lights, radio with cd player, a red light illuminated compass for running at night, and an electronic self steering setup. I also have about a gallon of that expensive copper based anti-fouling paint. She has a 4' draft and 1700 lb of lead encapsulated in the keel. The PELICAN would appreciate a younger, healthier captain and crew with workmanlike aptitude and skills and appreciation for a sea going vessel.
