This is a vintage figural glass Christmas ornament shaped as a cluster of acorns on oak leaves. It's a small one, measuring about 2.25" tall and 1.5" across. The color is a rich reddish brown, kind of a dark rust shade, and very glossy. Really could be used for either Thanksgiving or Christmas with such a nice autumn color. I don't know the maker or specific age, but it came from a box of my grandmother's ornaments and I have reason to believe it's pretty old, maybe 1940s or earlier (she didn't acquire any more holiday decorations after probably the 1960s). The unmarked cap and hanger are made of the stiffer, more sturdy metal that you see on the older ornaments. The neck is long and skinny, and the glass is very, very lightweight, so these factors also lead me to believe it's quite old. Possibly made in Germany, as all the similar ornaments I could find were from there, but I can't be certain.
Condition is really excellent for its age. There are some very tiny areas of paint loss (see my closeup photo), but they're so small you don't even notice them unless you're examining up close. I have to think it wasn't taken out and used much since I found it wrapped in paper at the bottom of a box and I have no memory of ever seeing it before when I was growing up. It's rather unusual to find these looking so pristine. Asking $8.00 obo. Everything I have listed for sale is "or best offer", so feel free to make an offer.

I sell a lot of items on Craigslist, so please take a look at my other stuff (sometimes free items as well). I come from a huge family of serious hoarders, so... Well, some people have yard sales, but I'm not able to do that, so I do this instead. It clears out the house and helps me get the last of my kids through college. All you have to do is search the word SALMAGUNDI on Craigslist, and all of my items should come up for you.
