NAVAJO BLANKETS/RUGS From the 1930's
Various sizes priced from $300 to $1,800
Blankets were purchased by my father on the Navajo reservation right after WW ll when driving through Arizona to Texas. All are made of native sheep wool with root and berry original natural colors.
Priced generally for size, except for the featured blanket with historic Twirilling Log design of good luck. After WW ll all the tribes agreed to not use this symbol that up until that time always represented good luck. After Hitler used this symbol with the reversed top line that goes to the right, (Swastica) opposed to the Twirlling Logs on the blanket where the top line goes to the left, the tribes all felt Hitler desecrated the symbol and they never used this again. This is definitely one of the very last blankets bearing this symbol.
The second blanket #2 measures 18" X 37" and is priced at $300
The third blanket #3 measures 34" X 48" and priced at $500
The fourth blanket #4 measures 32" X 55" and priced at $600
The next blanket #5 measures 44" X 77" and priced at $1,500
Featured blanket #1 with Swastica measures 44" X 72" and priced at $1,800
Total price for all 5 blankets/rugs is $4,700. Price discounted if all 5 purchased at one time. Open to talk.
Will trade for Second Amendment items, expecially large capacity 9 mm, AK or AR.
