A century ago, famous artist Lon Megargee debuted what may be the most famous cowboy painting of all time. Called “The Last Drop from His Stetson,” it depicted a kindly cowboy kneeling to give his horse a drink of water from his upturned hat, and it went on to become an icon of the Stetson brand, and a hallmark of cowboy culture.

The original painting is on display at the Hermosa Inn, Paradise Valley, AZ. A copy of the painting is shown below...

This original liner is embroidered in color from 1944. Our family fried, a WWII combat wounded Vet was given this Stetson by his Father upon returning from the war. He wore it proudly and eventually sent it back to the Stetson factory for refurbishing and Stetson removed the original liner and he had it mounted and framed. The new liners were issued around 1950's as far as we can tell and are not as intricate and are silk screened, not embroidered.

This finished framed liner 10.5 x 11" professionally framed, using UV glass.
$250 for this one of a kind treasure.

If you are reading this it is available.
