1966 Ford Mustang 6cyl Coupe. Sport Package! Owned same family since new. Originally purchased by the current owner's father in Dayton, Ohio on July 7th, 1966. Her father passed the car down to her in high school and she drove it to college before moving to Arizona and bringing the car to Mustang specialists "The Mustang Service Center" to have it completely restored in 2001. At that time, the hood, fenders, door skins and quarter panels were replaced. To eliminate rust entirely, the doghouse was removed and replaced with a rust-free Arizona version. All new floors, and new gas tank were done during restoration. Since restoration, the car has lived inside a locked garage every night, so the Arizona sun has had little impact on it.
The car has the original engine bored out slightly by the owner's father in the early 1970's. The transmission is also original, rebuilt. The interior is all new, but matches the factory interior exactly except for the floormats. The dash has never been cut or changed and the original owner's manual is in the glovebox!
The car is a 200 cubic inch straight 6 with the 'Sports Package' which includes the chrome running board detail, the console with storage and originally, there was a sticker on the chrome air filter cover. She still has shoe brakes, but the headlights and tail lights have been upgraded to LED, so they burn brighter. Car runs great and is fun to drive. Idiosyncrasies include: a slight knock in the bottom of the engine that has been there since the mid 1980's, a slight exhaust leak around the manifold - needs a gasket. The horn doesn't work (just discovered this), and there is a door ding on the driver's side door and a crack in the passenger quarter at the top.
Trunk liner is a reproduction of the original. Original tire jack is under the spare tire in the trunk. Clean - clean - clean and only owned by one family ever. After being passed down to the current owner. SERIOUS PLEASE, CALL ALLEN (six02)three27-3eight33.
