Original survivor 1979 Hurst Oldsmobile W-30. Car has the original R code 350 cu. V-8 with automatic transmission and locking rear differential. This car has had a complete mechanical rebuild including engine, transmission and rear-end. The car is 100% as original and numbers matching. Some time over the past 40 years the trunk lid has been resprayed. Paint is between 6 and 8 microns over the whole car. Other than the touch-up of the trunk lid paint appears to be 100% original. The car has not been restored.
I bought the car back as its original owner purchasing the car new in 1979 and again in 2017 after a 30 year search. I am selling the car to help finance a home purchase.
This car has been meticulously maintained and has just over 2000 miles on a complete new drive line. All systems function as new including the original air conditioning system (R-12) and AM/FM/8-track stereo. Yes, the 8 track still works as it did 40 years ago.
The car is kept inside in the garage as seen in the pictures and has full Hagerty collector car insurance.
Please know, this is a very rare, 40+ year collector car in which only 1335 cars were ever made. For the year, the W-30 was the epitome of high performance from Detroit (including the Corvette Stingray) with only the Pontiac Trans-Am 6.6L having increased performance.
