One owner 1997 Grand Cherokee Orvis Edition 5.2L V8. Rare "light driftwood" paint color code PFA. Always garaged, paint protected with aircraft paint protectant. In beautiful condition and meticulously maintained. Since the first two dealer visits, I have done all the maintenance and replacements myself. All fluids and filters changed per manual schedule. Have used full synthetic 10w 40 since available. Other than normal maintenance, here's a list of the parts which I have replaced/upgraded. Pretty much a "daily driver", but only locally less than 200 miles per month. Car Cover included. Carfax pdf available.
1. Van's big brake kit installed on front. The original brakes were a weak point on these cars, and after replacing rotors and brake pads twice, I opted for this $1000 upgrade which replaced the rotors and calipers with much beefier ones. No problems since.
2. Replaced steering stabilizer, track bar, sway bar, tie rods and shocks.
3. Replaced water pump including new serpentine belt..
4. Replaced spark plugs.
5. Replaced left front and left rear door lock actuators.
6. Replaced radio with new Clarion unit with bluetooth.
7. Replaced front transfer case seal.
8. Replaced front axles when cv's needed to be replaced.
9. Replaced AAV twice.
10. Replaced alternator
2 new tires, and 2 are 6 years old with about 5000 miles on them. Picked up a nail in the sidewall and had a blowout several months ago and replaced the blown one and an old spare and moved one of the 6 year olds to the spare position.
