The Nautilus 805 represents Bowers & Wilkins’ mastery of compact loudspeaker design, borrowing heavily from their iconic floorstanders in the same line. Designed and built in England, this two-way monitor features a rear-ported, curved cabinet with a real cherrywood veneer and B&W’s signature yellow Kevlar mid/bass driver paired with a tapered tube-loaded aluminum dome tweeter. Imaging is precise, low-end is surprisingly full for the size, and the off-axis response is balanced and natural. These are ideal for nearfield listening, small to medium rooms, or as high-end surrounds. Cosmetically clean overall with minor signs of age, these are a fine choice for audiophiles seeking the timeless character and performance of the original Nautilus series.
