Skippy is a coming 10-year-old Belgian cross gelding standing 15.3 hands tall and wearing a size 2 shoe. He’s more athletic-built than your typical draft, making him a smoother and more comfortable ride.
He has a solid foundation in the arena- able to carry himself well, perform flying lead changes, and transition easily between arena work and the trail. Out on the trail, Skippy is eager to please and confidently rides out both alone and in groups.
In our program for the past six months, Skippy has proven to be a dependable lead horse and does well following when he has a confident rider. He’s a kind, honest horse with a lot of potential. While he’s never bucked, reared, or bolted, he’s best suited to a consistent rider he can bond with, as his confidence dips with frequent new riders.
Skippy was recently shod (2 weeks ago), wormed, and had his teeth floated in spring 2025. He’s sound, healthy, and ready for his next partner!
