It's planting season! Get this plant established before the winter frost...
This hardy full-sun xeriscape plant is an excellent addition to any landscaping project. It is an unusual hybrid plant, offering the attractive structure of an Agave with the faster growth and exciting colors of the Manfreda. As it matures, its arching blades become an elegant deep burgundy-purple with a darker green color on the edging and tips.
Capable of handling full sun.
Capable of enduring a freeze warning without protection.
Water deeply when soil is dry.
Looks beautiful with other desert vegetation, flowers, succulents and cacti.
I run a tiny nursery in my backyard, and I have one of these beauties left right now.
It comes in a standard 3-gallon nursery pot.
Currently, it is 12" tall -- and its full-grown size is approximately 18" tall x 24" diameter.
The first two photos are examples of full-grown plants provided as an informational reference only. The second two photos are what you will be buying.
