I have a beautiful well rooted thornless nopales cactus(smaller variety) for sale for $35. The plant has 17 pads. It will come as a bare root and I will dig it out for you.
The pads can be grilled into an exotic dinner and chopped pads can be made into delicious soups, scrambled with eggs, eaten as salads, stuffed in tacos etc. They are highly nutritious and is supposedly excellent for the gastrointestinal tract.
They grow so easily here in Arizona and since they’re thornless, it’s safe to grow them in houses with little children too. Since it’s drought tolerant, it grows with neglect. It’s one of the beautiful smooth opuntias that I own. It’s great to grow in a household with little kids and curious pets.
I am in Scottsdale but I go to North Phoenix, Glendale areas often.
