Orion Homes is looking to fill new full time positions all over the valley for days shifts and night shifts! We operate Assisted Living Homes, Behavioral Health Residential Facilities, Group Homes for the Developmentally Disabled, and Employment Training Programs in the Phoenix metro area.
This position is responsible for caring for adults with developmental disabilities.These individuals must be flexible with their schedules and willing to work weekends.
Assisting with personal care: bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise
Basic food preparation: preparing meals, housekeeping, laundry, and other errands
General health care: documenting medication and prescriptions usage, administering medicine
Mobility assistance: help with getting in and out of a wheelchair, car or shower
Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervision
Transportation: driving to and from activities, running errands, and help getting in and out of wheelchair-accessible vehicle
Emotional support: being a stable companion and supporter in all matters personal, health-related and emotional
Health monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individual's health, recording and reporting any differences
Encouragement and Support: following an ISP or BTP, work with residents in learning life and social skills and achieving goals they have set for themselves
Caregiver Requirements :
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Certified Caregivers must have Caregiver Certificate that meets Arizona State NCIA Board Requirements.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a level 1 fingerprint clearance card from Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Training preferred: Prevention & Support, CPR, First Aid, Article 9
