Residential group home in Phoenix, Arizona, serving adults with developmental disabilities is seeking motivated, compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional to
provide daily care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental
disabilities in a residential group home setting. Your job will be to help individuals
live safely, comfortably, and with dignity while promoting independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
● Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
● Support meal preparation, feeding, and proper nutrition
● Administer or assist with medications as trained and directed
● Provide companionship and emotional support
● Assist with community outings, recreational activities, and appointments
● Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
● Follow individual care plans and behavior support strategies
● Accurately document daily activities, progress, and incidents
● Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and healthcare professionals
● Respond appropriately to emergencies and behavioral situations
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or GED (required)
● Ability to pass background checks and required training
● Valid driver’s license (if transportation is required)
● 18 years of age
● Willing to obtain CPR, safety and prevention certification and Fingerprint Clearance card
● Effectively communicates and understands, reads, and writes in English. Good interpersonal skills
● Organized and efficient
● Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required
● Compassionate, patient, and dependable
● Ability to follow care plans and agency policies
● Treats all members with respect and is able to relate in a warm and caring manner.
● Able to work with a diverse set of clientele in various settings
● Able to perform the personal care and housekeeping tasks.
● Able to work independently and in a group
Work Environment:
● Residential group home setting
● May include evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts or double shifts if requested.
● Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, and assisting clients

Hiring for the following Shifts:
9:00am - 3:00pm
3:00pm - 11:00pm
11:00pm - 9:00am
Double Shift Option: 9:00am - 9:00pm
All shifts include one or both weekend days.
Job Types: FULL TIME
Pay: $15.20 - $17.00 per hour
