The Machine Operator is responsible for running Automated Cutters, Sling Welder, Cushion Stuffer, and strap cutting machines to support the production of high-quality custom cushions. This role ensures all products meet Arizona Custom Cushions’ quality standards while maintaining efficiency and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to differentiate between fabric colors and patterns, and proficiency with production equipment. The Machine Operator plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency and delivering premium custom products to customers.
The position is a full time hourly role with paid holidays, vacation time, 401k + match, and Paid Personal time off.
Job Duties:
Operate Automated Cutters, Sling Welder, Cushion Stuffer, and strap cutting machines efficiently and safely.
Read work orders, cut sheets, and production specifications to ensure accurate machine setup and operation.
Inspect materials for defects, correct measurements, color accuracy, and proper matching.
Differentiate between a wide range of fabric colors, patterns, and materials.
Set up, adjust, and monitor machines to ensure proper operation and output quality.
Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report equipment malfunctions to management.
Maintain production flow by ensuring materials are prepared and machines are operating efficiently.
Meet daily and weekly production quotas while maintaining high quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
Follow all safety procedures, equipment guidelines, and manufacturing protocols.
Assist with additional production tasks such as material handling, assembly support, or packaging as needed.
Identify and report material shortages, quality concerns, or production delays.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, bending, pulling, reaching, and repetitive motions.
Ability to operate machinery for extended periods.

Exposure to fabrics, foam materials, and manufacturing equipment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment or machinery (preferred).
Ability to learn and operate Automated Cutters, welding equipment, and stuffing machines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to distinguish and match colors accurately (critical for quality control).
Ability to read and understand production documents and measurements.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
