The TOA K2 is a vintage, small-diaphragm electret condenser microphone released in the mid-1980s as part of TOA’s professional series. Known for its ultra-thin, gold-vaporized diaphragm and dual-power capabilities (phantom power or AA battery), it was designed for highly sensitive, accurate transient response.

Capsule Type: Fixed-charge back-electret condenser.

Diaphragm: 4μ m gold-vaporized for extreme sensitivity.

Polar Pattern: Cardioid.

Power Supply: 9-52V DC phantom power or standard AA battery operation.

Frequency Response: Variable voicings (the K1 model in the series featured a low-frequency roll-off switch)
