Leopard tortoises (p. babcocki) looking for homes! I have some that are 9+ months old (some pictured), all with hard shells, and showing great growth lines. I also have a group that is 4-5 months old, and another group that are a couple of months old (some pictured) that are all eating and doing great. These are not being resold, they are captive bred from my own adults.
In my opinion, this is the best tortoise species for 99% of people in a climate like Phoenix. When they get a little bigger they can (and should) be housed outside year-round with the right set up. They are not destructive or aggressive with each other, and won’t destroy your yard like a Sulcata eventually will. You can keep it and won’t have to rehome or surrender it in a few years!
This is a hobby and these have gotten the best of care and attention. They are being raised in enclosed humid Animal Plastics cages (for smooth shell growth) with UV combined with time outside and natural sunlight. They get a varied diet consisting of dark greens and native plants and weeds, including spineless cactus, primrose, hibiscus, globemallow, mulberry, snailvine, LS Mazuri, and with appropriate vitamins and calcium.
If you are reading this then I still have animals available, I won't respond to emails simply asking if they are still available.
Rehoming fee is $110 for one or $200 for two for the younger ones, The older ones will be a little more. For quantities over two I'll take some more off. I won’t take individual photos, I’ll bring a bunch and you can pick your own out. Unrelated ones available.
FYI, my meeting spot is at a public place of business very close to the location indicated on the map.
Can answer questions but please do your research on this awesome species first.
