This is a limited-edition light source from my vast 65-year-old arsenal of classic and new photographic equipment. It should be an integral part of the versatile lighting equipment of any photographer seriously engaged in artistic portrait photography.
Thanks to a color temperature range of 5400 (±200K), this light can be mixed with other daylight-balanced sources without creating a color cast. Therefore, most importantly, this edition will also allow shooting artistic portraits not only indoors but also successfully outdoors, in combination with daylight, in both cloudy and sunny weather. A key feature of this edition is its various slave modes, with three triggering options available: a wired connection with the included sync cord, with an optional infrared remote, or as an optical slave thanks to the light sensor at the top. This means you can sync the unit with your camera or another flash for simultaneous firing. The adjustable 75W modeling light allows you to preview your composition with a continuous light source.
This lighting system allows you the install any size of a reflective umbrella in the hole at the front of the light fixture.
