We are seeking self-motivated, driven Full-Time Tier 1 IT Support Specialists to work within our growing North Phoenix office near the I-17 and Pinnacle Peak Rd. Working with physicians and medical office staff handling support desk issues, remote troubleshooting of hardware, peripherals, connectivity issues, wireless, scanning, and system backup issues comprise the majority of your day-to-day tasks.

You should love working with customers, be eager to learn, and highly self motivated. MDS is fast-paced and customer-focused. Healthcare IT is exciting and challenging. Working with physicians and medical office staff handling support desk issues, remote troubleshooting of hardware, peripherals, connectivity issues, wireless, scanning, and system backup issues comprise the majority of your day-to-day tasks.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING


  • Using exceptional listening skills and customer service aptitude in all written and verbal interactions with customers
  • Answering help desk calls and online cases, communicating and working with customers on resolution, and updating/closing Tier 1 cases
  • Taking ownership of Cases and communicating professionally with customers via the customer portal, email, and phone at least daily until Case is closed or escalated
  • Escalating Tier 2-3 Cases after troubleshooting attempts have been exhausted
  • Troubleshoot, research, diagnose, document, and resolve technical issues surrounding Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, MS Office applications, email, medical software, and other special applications
  • Documenting work progress, resolution, and time spent on each case in Salesforce
  • Creating accounts, unlocking accounts, resetting passwords in Active Directory
  • Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting medical software application issues
  • Troubleshooting and installation of computers
  • Troubleshooting remote connectivity issues
  • Troubleshooting printing issues
  • Troubleshooting internet and network problems
  • Troubleshooting and maintain peripherals: hardware, monitors, printers, and scanners, etc.
  • A wide variety of other special tasks and projects as assigned

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE


  • Minimum high school diploma. College degree preferred. Technical certifications highly desirable.
  • Minimum 1 year current IT support experience, preferably in healthcare or high tech industry
  • Microsoft Windows versions 7, 8, and 10 support experience
  • Customer service or call center experience and a positive, flexible, customer-oriented personality absolutely required!
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical endusers
  • High level of patience and ability to respond professionally and calmly to customers in stressful situations
  • Ability to multi-task and love working in a fast-paced environment
  • Broad knowledge of computer hardware, software and Microsoft-based products
  • Self-motivated personality to work independently to perform job duties and learn new technologies
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills required
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • You must be flexible and reliable. Our customers depend on you in order to provide patient care, and we are not a call center environment.
  • This position entails local travel. Candidate must possess required documents: valid drivers license, good driving record, auto insurance, and have a major credit card.
