This unique milling machine was manufactured by VEB Pentacon Dresden, a German company for milling the surfaces of flat, complex-shaped parts that cannot be clamped in a vice, as well as the surfaces of cylindrical parts. It is the smallest milling machine in the world, with only one copy, and is also an extremely rare collector's item.

To achieve the required quality and accuracy of machining, a milling machine operator must have a good understanding of:
- how to select the correct milling cutter;
- how to set optimal milling conditions, including cutter speed and workpiece feed rate, depending on the strength and viscosity of the workpiece material;
- the purpose of each operating handle, clamp, and clamp on the machine;
