8' X 16' Car Hauler Trailer, upgraded to a versatile Utility Trailer. 3 mm thick x 13" high, Pre-Cut, Diamond Plate Aluminium is mounted to close in both side rails and the front rail. The 78" wide x 49" high tailgate is also covered with Diamond Plate Aluminium. A 44" wide x 10" high window, with a door, is cut in the tailgate aluminium plate for vision when backing up.The tailgate aluminium plate can be removed if preferred. The aluminium sides and front enclosure stop road rocks, prevent cargo from sliding out and debris from blowing out. This Versatile Trailer can be used as a Car or Toy Hauler, Utility Trailer or a Landscaping Trailer. The Trailer is capable of hauling 2.5 tons (5,000 lbs.) of gravel, without using tarps or ply wood to hold it in.

Additional upgrades made to the trailer: The trailer was built with 9 steel support beams under the deck with only 5 beams doubled bolted, thru the 7" wide deck boards, to the steel support beams. The 4 additional steel support beams have also been double bolted thru the deck boards at each beam crossing. Stabilizing the trailer deck and stops the deck boards from twisting, warping, vibrating or rattling. Eleven tie down D-Hooks, 4 on each side wall, connected to the 2" square stock, and 3 across the front deck, thru the floor are also installed.
In early October 2025, the trailer wood deck was sanded down to raw wood and sealed with two coats of marine CPES, clear penetrating epoxy sealant, a marine wood waterproofing sealant. Then the sealed wood deck was coated with four coats of UV resistant clear epoxy resin. In addition, the trailer was detailed and the deck lock nuts under the deck were torqued down. The pre-cut, 3 mm thick, Aluminium Diamond Plate, deck bolts and lock nuts, aluminium side fasteners, epoxy sealants and d-hooks total materials costs was over $1,600. The Trailer was lightly used for less then 200 miles and is in Like New Condition.
