About the Role
Altricity is a Phoenix startup building a new type of vehicle power recovery system that allows drivers to remotely jump start their vehicle using a mobile app.
We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Assembly & Lab Technician to help assemble, test, and support early production of our product.
This is a small team environment working directly with the founder and engineering team.
The role is part-time and flexible, with work scheduled based on production builds, prototype testing, and inventory needs.
Typical workload is 5–25 hours per week, with occasional larger build days.
What You'll Be Doing
Product Assembly
• Assemble electronic modules into finished products
• Perform light soldering when needed
• Flash firmware to controller boards
• Perform product testing and verification
• Label and package finished units
Lab / Prototype Support
• Assist with prototype builds and testing
• Support troubleshooting and product validation
• Help maintain simple assembly and testing procedures so builds stay consistent as production grows
3D Printing
• Operate 3D printers used for product enclosures
• Troubleshoot basic printing issues
• Prepare printed components for assembly
Inventory & Operations
• Stage parts and components for assembly
• Track parts and finished goods inventory
• Manage serial number labeling and product identification
• Help keep materials and work areas organized
Vehicle Testing (Occasional)
• Assist with installation of the product in vehicles
• Work under the hood with basic automotive wiring
• Training provided
Skills That Help
• Experience assembling small electronics
• Basic soldering ability
• Comfortable using a multimeter
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working with smartphones and mobile apps
• Interest in automotive electronics or hardware
Work Environment
Work takes place in our small assembly and R&D workspace in North Phoenix.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building real hardware and solving practical problems.
Physical Requirements
Work involves handling small electronic components, light soldering, and occasional work around vehicle engine bays. Ability to lift small parts and tools (typically under 25 lbs).
Compensation
$24–30 per hour depending on experience
Minimum 4-hour shift when scheduled
