This is my idea for a poor man’s (but not too poor) heavy duty toy/Jeep hauler/camping base with some additional features built on an Aluma 1026TA-R-DT-RR-RTD (Ramps) with two 5200-pound axles with a weight of 1725 pounds and it is 100 inches wide and 26 feet long.
A professional fabrication shop (see photos) then enclosed it using all aluminum materials for about $10,000. The enclosed portion is about 8ft. tall and the bottom half was made with solid aluminum sheets, and the top four feet was made using expanded aluminum sheets for ventilation and visibility while camping etc. and comes with heavy duty semi-truck tarps.
This trailer retails for almost $20,000 and usually sells for about $15,000. The added features also include a Tuffy truck bed security box for gear that is 8 feet long and 14 inches high and sells for $4,099.00 which is used for a base for a Cascadia Vehicle Tent with drawers that open on the outside of the trailer (see photos).
This trailer also comes with a Tuffy truck bed security box for gear that is 6.5 feet long and 10 inches high and sells for $3,799.00 and is not attached to the trailer, a toilet (that is not quite installed yet) and a Camco Rhino portable waste container, (neither of which has been used) a picnic table, and a spare tire. The tires are almost new and have about 3000 miles on them and they are about one year old. It was hard to come up with a price for this custom trailer, but I am going to lower it $1000.00 a month until it sells.
