I’ve had this car for about 8 years now and it’s been such a fun vehicle. Scion was a sub-brand under Toyota and the *very reliable* 1.8L Corolla engine was used in these bad boys. Super easy to maneuver and park, very responsive on the gas and breaks, upgraded sound system (with a remote) complete with Bluetooth and subwoofers in the back, cold A/C, and great visibility. It’s been a really reliable ride for me commuting across the valley. I typically average 30-35 MPG depending on how much city/highway I do.
The Arizona sun has been wearing on the clear coat and there are a couple dents on the passenger side, but don’t let that fool you - this vehicle has been very well taken care of.
Oil changes and maintenance have been consistent, and the last oil change was at 161,500 miles. Put 4 new tires on him in March 2025 (Yokohama AVID Ascend LX - $750), got a new battery over the summer ($200), and had the water pump replaced in June ($1,200). No cracks in the windshield. The tire pressure sensor needs to be replaced, so that light is on, otherwise he should be good to go. The suspension system is original - maybe that’s something you want to replace down the line, but I haven’t had any problems with it myself.
I recently purchased an SUV, so it’s time for this guy to find his new home. I’ve really loved this car and hope the next person can enjoy it just as much as I have!
