You can earn up to $75 for your participation in an in-person study at Arizona State University, West Campus (located at 47th Ave & Thunderbird Rd in Glendale, AZ).
The purpose of the study is to gain a better understanding of how jurors make decisions about capital murder cases. As a participant, you would play the role of a mock juror, watch selections from a video of a murder trial, give us your opinions about the case, and deliberate with other jurors to reach a verdict. Some participants might be hooked up to sensors that measure heart rate. Like real jurors, you must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen to participate.
This study will take you 2 to 3 hours to complete. All responses are anonymous-- no names or other identifying information will be linked to your responses. Group deliberations will be videotaped, but nobody outside of our Social Psychology and Law Lab will see them.
You will be compensated $20 per hour with an additional $5 in Amazon credit for parking for sessions that will last between 2-3 hours. You will be compensated with an Amazon gift card sent to you via email within two business days days of your participation.
