Fully functional professional American Optical AO Spencer perfect condition, made in USA vintage monocular microscope. Weighs almost 10 pounds making it very stable while observing objects under high magnification.
Has a 3 position revolving turret nose piece includes 3 AO Spencer objective lenses in 5x magnification, 10x magnifying and 43x magnification. With the 10x ocular eyepiece objects are magnified 50x, 100x and 430x with the selected objective lens. Has a smooth rack and pinion substage adjustable stage clip to hold slides. Coarse and fine focus adjustment graduated in 2-micron increments, equivalent to 0.00007874" inches. By using this you're able to measure thickness / depths of objects you are viewing. Fully adjustable iris diaphragm and condenser rack and pinion adjustable. All high-quality full dovetail construction works smoothly. Fully capable of to 1000 x magnification by using a combination of objective and / or ocular lenses.
This microscope is fully capable of observing blood cells, bacteria etc. A magnification of 400x is required to see blood cells under a microscope. At this magnification, you can see the nucleus of a blood cell. For more detail, you can use 1000x magnification.
To see bacteria, you need a microscope with at least 400x magnification. However, higher magnifications of up to 1000x or more may be needed to study bacterial structures, identify species, or observe fine details.
