This nutcracker is all metal. Lift the tail; the squirrel's mouth opens. When the tail is depressed, it functions as a nutcracker. The nutcracker base (leaf) is 11 1/2 inches long by 9 1/4 inches wide. The squirrel is approximately 7 inches tall by 2 inches wide by 7 1/2 inches long (front paws back to tail). The squirrel is a hammered silver color and the leaf is black.
