African spur thigh sulcata tortoise . This is a grassland tortoise , not our cute native desert turtles ! They cannot tolerate the high heat and winters . They need a proper enclosure / tortoise house to escape the heat and it should have a heat source for winter ( no red lights ) . If you have experience already or have done updated research on Sulcatas ( 3rd largest land dwelling species ) please reach out . I have a preference for home / land owners as they get huge and can be destructive . I believe she is a female based on tail shape and flat shell . Shes about 5 years old and will live many more years . Females are much calmer than males but can definitely dig , ram into things , and wedge themselves under things . Males can plow through a brick wall to get to females so a female is a better choice for renters and home owners . This tortoise has one or two scutes that are slightly off center, making her easily identifiable . Use Craigslist chat to send me your number if you are interested . Looking for a good forever family to enjoy this sweet girl .
