This barrel starts out as a 55 gallon "OPEN HEAD' barrel (see pic #7). Then we measure it & cut it in half. Then the top half is then inserted (& hammered) into the bottom half. Although the plastic starts out as a heavier (than standard) barrel, when it's inserted, the finished barrel is double the thickness & a much greater durability.
While these can (certainly) be used as raised planters, we have less expensive barrels / buckets for your gardening projects. (see pics 8 & 9)
These double barreled buckets would be best used for your ranch animals as horse / mule / goat feeders.
They are FOOD GRADE safe & UV resistant, & as stated above, a double heavy grade of plastic.
Priced at $50 FIRM, they are both time consuming & labor intensive to make. If you buy one or 10, the price (w/o a lid) is $50 ea.. There is no multiple purchase discount.
